Quick tips for the perfect iced tea, ok? Ready?

1- Don’t be cheap, the more loose tea or tea bags you use the best.

2- Never everrrr oversteep the iced tea, if you want it to be stronger just use more tea otherwise it’ll turn a little bitter, yuck!

3- When you add that yummy sugar, do it while the tea is hot to sweeten it right and so you don’t leave crunchy sugar grains in everyone’s cups :P

4- Know how some tea gets cloudy (the one in the photo is thai iced tea so that doesn’t count hahaha) well to make sure it’s clear, let the tea cool a little BEFORE you shove it in the fridge <3

5- Finally and I think one of the more important tips, pleaseeee for the perfect fresh iced tea, grab a lemon, cut it in half, and squeeeeze. DOn’t use artificial lemon juice, yuck!

Jodie and her long-time friend Vanessa sat down and compiled a list of things they felt passionate about, before launching their successful company.

Other than family, friendships and humour, both lists saw tea make the cut. And so She-Tea was born.

Jodie incorporated her artistic flare into the brand and since its inception in 2008, She-Tea has continued to produce something very different to anything available in the saturated tea market.

In four short years the boutique company saw great growth, from being only stocked locally in the Daylesford region, to widespread national distribution.

Jodie has kindly shared her tips for those wanting set up their own business:

Do your research. It is instrumental to know your market before you start up your business

Ensure your business has a point of difference to anything else within the market. This will set you apart and give you a competitive edge

Finally but most importantly, if you are passionate about it, then you should pursue it, but remember to make realistic goals along the way

America thinks the way to prepare tea is to take a cup, fill it with water, dump a bag in, and microwave the cup for 5 minutes. When England witnessed this, he had a heart attack.

H…how are you supposed to…make tea, then?

WHY WOULD YOU MICROWAVE TEA, DO KETTLES NOT EXIST IN AMERICA?

I would like to add that my ex boyfriend (who’s German) didn’t own a kettle and was too lazy to boil water in a pot on the stove, so he microwaved his tea as well.

Jesus, not while the tea bag is IN the cup! (For one thing, they usually have metal staples. Also, ewwwwww gah.)

But no, look, lots of Americans don’t own a kettle. So if all you want is one cup and you don’t have a kettle, you just microwave the water in a mug till it’s hot and THEN you put the tea bag in. Or tea leaves, or whatever you use.

As an obsessive tea drinker who has sometimes had to make do when staying with friends or family, I can attest that it doesn’t do the tea any damage at all. It really doesn’t make much difference how the water gets hot.

Just. Put the tea bag in after, for God’s sake.

As a matter of fact, microwaving the water leads to superheating it and giving you flatter-tasting tea.

You know. If you’re a big enough snob to notice.

I started coming up with so many Dragon Age tea blends that I made a spreadsheet to keep track of them so I wasn’t duplicating the same flavor profiles over and over.

… I need help. o_O

In case you’re wondering, the “1” and “2” indicates the amount of the flavor. “1” is a mild note of the flavor, “2” is stronger.

Blurred out the names so they’ll be a surprise when they’re released. My most recent order (Lyrium Tattoo, Sweet Apostate, and Hero of the River Dane) should be here tomorrow. If all goes well, I’ll open them up for the public tomorrow evening!

Anyone care to go toe-to-toe with fontscosplay on this one?
